Delhi is ranked 3rd in India regarding how bad the traffic is in the city. There are a few causes to the traffic congestion some of which are: the increasing population in Delhi, the growing workforce, and the inadequate public transport system in Delhi.

Even though Delhi offers metro and bus services, the transport system unable to keep up with the growing population, resulting in more and more people using their private vehicles, which in turn leads to increased congestion. To put things into perspective in 2021, the registered number of private cars in Delhi, India, amounted to over 3.38 million.
